08 Feb Top Things To Do in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a dream destination for many people, from passing the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, to waving it goodbye, your time there could filled with all manner of exciting escapades. If you like the thrill of the casino, or prefer to take in a show, Las Vegas is where it is all at.
If you are fortunate enough to be planning a trip to Vegas, then here are some of the things you should give a try:
A Trip Down The Strip
If you really want to get the full Vegas experience then you have to spend some time on the famous Strip. A bus tour by night is a great way to see the bright lights and get an idea of everything that is going on at Vegas’ most popular venues.
Helicopter Night Ride
Another great way to see the place at night is by taking a helicopter ride over the Strip, where you will be able to appreciate the beauty of Sin City and amazing features such as the dancing fountains at Bellagio.
See a Show
Some of the world’s most famous stars perform at Las Vegas from Celine Dion to Elton John and loads more top performers depending on what time you choose to visit. Cirque Du Soleil is another exciting show that is very popular with people visiting Vegas.
Go to the Casino
Even if you don’t like gambling, a trip to one of the many Casinos should be on your list just to see everything that is going on in there. There are low value slot machines for the less serious gamblers, live music, 24 hour opening, bars and everything you can imagine to keep people entertained whilst they have a gamble.
One of the main landmarks in Vegas is the Stratosphere Tower which visitors can go to the top of to have a higher vantage point across the city. That’s not where the excitement ends though and as with everything in Vegas, it goes to the next level – there are 3 fairground style rides that take you high above the city for some extra thrills.
At night, the magical fountains come alive, with the water and lighting dancing high in the air to present an awesome show. They are part of the Bellagio Hotel grounds, which offers another experience again and is a complete resort rather than just a hotel. Inspired by Lake Como in Italy, the luxury hotel has its own casino and is where the Cirque Du Soleil perform. Like most of the big hotels in Las Vegas, there is a huge choice of restaurants and bars. At Bellagio there is also a botanical garden and for the art appreciators, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is definitely worth a visit.
There are loads more things to see and do in Las Vegas, and if you are planning a trip here then you need to be aware that travelling to the US requires some form of visa, so you will need to submit an ESTA application to get the relevant permission to enter the US. Enjoy your trip to Sin City!
