Traveling is an amazing way to experience the world. After a year plus of minimal travel for most of us, many are starting to resume travel again both for work and pleasure. Whether you’re headed out on a road trip, ready to hop on a flight, or traveling by boat, you probably have your list of essentials to pack. One essential you may not have considered bringing with you on your next trip is CBD oil. CBD (Cannabidiol) oil is an extract from the flowering part of the hemp plant.
Why would I bring CBD with me while traveling?
The benefits that come along with CBD oil use can greatly benefit you while traveling. Whether your body is in physical pain or discomfort, or you are feeling stressed or anxious due to flight delays, CBD might be the perfect thing to help you. CBD is often used to relieve stress and physical discomfort. It also often comes in many forms such as tinctures, salves, roll-ons, creams, gummies, wraps, and face masks. Today, we’ll be focusing on options that will be easy to take with you and use while on the go and traveling.
Using CBD oil and salves for physical pain while on the go
For discomfort, you can use CBD in a variety of quick and easy ways. With softgel capsules, especially ones that contain curcumin, CBD can be easily packed and taken on the road. This method of consuming CBD is discreet and fast, especially if you are in a public setting like an airport.
You might also want to keep your CBD salve handy, especially if you often experience joint or muscle discomfort and soreness. High CBD concentration salves are a must for your travel first aid kit! Many salves are sold in small packages, like 1 oz tubs, which can easily be thrown in your backpack on road trips or kept in your pocket. CBD wraps, also with a high concentration of CBD, and designed for on-the-spot rapid relief are definitely not the easiest to use in public, but they usually are easy to bring with you on the go to use later in a hotel room or in the car.
Another option for pain relief is the use of roll-ons. Many roll-ons made of CBD can either cool or warm your affected areas. Roll-ons are also rather small and won’t take up a lot of space in your baggage. Lastly, relief creams are perfect for traveling and can be stored with your other creams like sunscreen and moisturizers.
Using CBD products to relieve stress
While travel is fun, it can be full of unexpected stressors, and it’s common to have stressful and anxious moments traveling. Maybe you’ve been stuck in traffic for hours or your flight has gotten delayed, or you’re just feeling restless overall. CBD may provide relief.
The most typical use of CBD for stress is the use of a CBD oil tincture. Tinctures are used orally and are absorbed quickly for rapid relief. CBD tinctures usually come in many flavors such as orange and mint, which helps with the taste. Slipping your tincture out of your bag and placing some under your tongue may be all it takes to feel better.
A few other CBD options for travel include CBD products with melatonin, which may be perfect to use for when you’re finding it hard to fall asleep in a new place. Many people find CBD gummies great for travel due to their portability and ease of use.
If you’re traveling outside of the U.S., be sure to check CBD regulations in the country or countries you’ll be visiting or traveling across borders.
