A Quick Intro to Singapore

Voted cleanest city in the world, Singapore has an extremely modern feel, with shopping malls, skyscrapers and futuristic-looking attractions.

Yet beneath its super clean image (some people might say ‘sterile’) there’s still plenty of culture waiting to be discovered. Head to any of the hawker centers and you’ll be able to taste all the delicious foods from the ethnicities that make up Singapore’s population. Chinese, Malay, Indian…you’ll find all sorts of tasty things to try.

Singapore is a true multicultural city, with four official languages, including English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. Must-sees include Chinatown, Orchard Road, Gardens by the Bay, the Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios and Sentosa – a purpose built resort with a man-made beach.

Even Singapore’s Changi Airport is an attraction, boasting a cactus garden, butterfly garden, bouncing net and multiple art installations.

Of course, you can’t leave Singapore without trying a famous Singapore Sling cocktail, which was invented at the Raffles Hotel. Guests enjoy their cocktail with monkey nuts, then throw the shells straight on the floor.
