Train sign from Trieste to Venice

To get from Piran in Slovenia to Venice in Italy you have to take the bus from Piran to Trieste which takes about an hour and costs around 8 euros. There is no train station in Piran; the closest train station is Koper. The bus leaves Piran at 06:45am and arrives in Trieste at 08:20am. This is correct at the time of posting, but to be sure, check the timetables on the website for the bus station of Trieste.

The bus stops in the bus terminal next to the train station in Trieste, and from there you can buy a train ticket to get to Venice. Depending on which train you get, the journey time is between 2 and 3 hours and costs between 10 and 20 Euros. Visit the Italian Railways website for details of prices and train times.
