For many visitors to Florida, it’s usually the first place they’ll go with the kids. It is home to a number of family-friendly theme parks and other attractions, and it’s also a stone’s throw from the famous Floridian beach, but believe it or not, there’s yet more to Orlando than that! As I wrote about previously on my blog, you’re always going to have fun there, but what about eating out?

International Drive is the city’s most iconic street, not least because it’s lined with restaurants serving food from all over the world, including a few local dishes. If you’re feeling peckish after a day of frantic sightseeing and rollercoaster rides, here are five you could pay a visit to:

The Pub Orlando

Decked out like an old-fashioned British pub, The Pub serves beers imported from the UK and is also surprisingly family-friendly. The signature dish is, of course, fish and chips, while there are also other classic British and American dishes, as well as a range of burgers.

Capital Grille

The Capital Grille steakhouse is a classy joint that’s located near some of the main hotels on International Drive. It’s one of the most popular despite the prices, but they do a great steak, as well as a range of fresh side dishes.

Maggiano’s Little Italy

No list like this would be complete without an Italian restaurant. Part of a small chain, Maggiano’s does all the Italian-American classics such as pasta, while there are a number of fancy starters like stuffed mushrooms and chicken and pepper flatbread.

Dave & Buster’s

One for the adults, Dave & Buster’s is a great place to grab an ice-cold beer, but the menu is just as impressive. What sets this place apart from the rest is that you can play a range of arcade games with your buddies, making a night of it.

Twin Peaks Restaurant

For an immersive, unique dining experience, this restaurant serves classic American cuisine as well as offering free Wi-Fi connections for all customers. The Twin Peaks menu has no more than 30 different dishes, every one of them made from scratch.

Hi I'm Victoria, a British girl from Manchester. After graduating from university I decided there was more to life than the hours between 9 and 5, so I packed my journalism degree into my suitcase to travel the world and find a way to make money at the same time. I now call London home, although I still travel whenever I can. I hope to inspire you to be your own boss, live life and see the world.
