04 Dec Costa Rica is Pura Vida!

A common phrase you’ll hear in Costa Rica is “Pura Vida”. It literally translates as “pure life” but can be used in many different situations. It can be used a greeting or a farewell, or the saying can be used to express that “life is good” or “things are going well”. Contrarily it can also be used when things aren’t going so well, as if to say “that’s life” or “c’est la vie”.

While in Costa Rica on a blog trip with Minube and the Costa Rican tourism board I shot this video, which I think sums up what “Pura Vida” really means. I hope you like it!

Hi I'm Victoria, a British girl from Manchester. After graduating from university I decided there was more to life than the hours between 9 and 5, so I packed my journalism degree into my suitcase to travel the world and find a way to make money at the same time. I now call London home, although I still travel whenever I can. I hope to inspire you to be your own boss, live life and see the world.
