As the New Year approaches, it is a good time to make new goals. For many, this may mean losing a bit of weight or finding a better job. For adventure seekers, however, trying out exciting new activities should be on the menu. Nothing beats the thrill of overcoming fear and tackling a new adventurous activity. Here are some activities thrill-seekers may enjoy.
Bungee jumping
Bungee jumping is still a popular activity for thrill seekers. You can choose from jumping over water or jumping over land, depending on the bungee jumping facility you use. For anyone afraid of heights, it can be panic inducing, but for many others the feeling of free-fall is exhilarating.
Flying lessons
If you love planes and flight, you may want to consider taking flying lessons so that you can pilot your own plane. Check for locations in your area and start learning all you can about piloting airplanes. You can buy aviation equipment, manuals, and gifts at places like Skygeek online. After receiving instructions and logging in the required amount of flight hours, you can earn a pilot’s license.
Skydiving
Skydiving is another sport that is not for the weak-hearted, especially for those with a fear of heights. This means it is a perfect activity for you to try if you are a thrill-seeker. After getting instruction and practicing on the ground, you will be ready for your first tandem skydive. In a tandem skydive, you are connected to an experienced skydiver. Before you know it, you will be ready for your first solo sky diving adventure.
Kayaking
Kayaking continues to grow in popularity due partly to a kayak’s versatility. A kayak is typically smaller than a canoe and easy to transport. Classes on kayaking are offered around the country. What you do and where you go with a kayak depends on the level of your desire for thrills. You can kayak on a quiet lake, or navigate exciting white water rapids. Guided kayaking trips are available. Alternatively, you may choose to experience kayaking solo or with a group of friends.
Kite surfing
Kite surfing, also called kite boarding, is a popular water sport for athletic adventurers who enjoy the water and high speeds. The surfer is pulled across the water by a specially designed “kite.” Kite surfing can be experienced in the ocean or on a lake. Private and group lessons are available around the country and kite-surfing gear can be rented or bought.

All I can say is yes to all!
But which ones do you want to do?
I don’t know if I will ever get over my fear of heights enough to skydive. It’s not a great fear to have for a traveller.
