While on the blog trip to Orlando with Virgin Holidays and Visit Florida, we visited Universal Studios in Orlando. I spent most of the day at the Islands of Adventure side, and the star attraction here is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
I walked through Hogsmeade and visited Honeydukes sweet shop, then tried some Butterbeer. I think my facial expression says it all! It tasted just like…butter. And sugar. To my disappointment…it is non-alcoholic beer!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter brings the books and movies to life. You can purchase a wand in Ollivanders, send your postcards with a Hogsmeade postmark at the Owl Post, enjoy a pint of butterbeer or pumpkin juice in the Three Broomsticks, and fill up a bag of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans in Honeydukes.
There are several really cool rides here, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff and Dragon Challenge.
Although I have only read the first Harry Potter Book and I’ve only seen the first two movies, I still really enjoyed the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and it’s definitely a highlight of Universal Studios.
