Check out this short accommodation guide to see what the republic of Cyprus has in store.
Cyprus hotels are mainly dotted around the coasts of the island – which is divided between the Turkish north and Greek south. On the whole they have a good reputation – and a few decent hotels can be found inland.
Beach resorts such as Columbia Beach in the sleepy two kilometre sands of Pissouri Bay have an exclusive and luxurious feel with spectacular views for £1,000 for seven nights including bed and breakfast. On the other hand the cheaper resorts such as the five star Coral Beach resort in Coral Bay near Paphos charges a more affordable £35 per night based on two adults sharing – which shows that great deals are out there.
The Greek Cypriot capital of Nicosia has a range of city break options from the expensive Hilton Park Nicosia Hotel with luxury suits and rooms with incredible pool or garden views to more homely family run bed and breakfast alternatives from £30 per night. If you want to stay a while self-catering apartments in Nicosia are available from about £300 per week for two-bedrooms near the centre.
