The latest travel competition I’ve stumbled over is the Travel Photography Scholarship 2010 to Bhutan with World Nomads.
The winner will have the chance to go on an assignment with wildlife photographer Jason Edwards to the kingdom of Bhutan, as it opens up to the modern world.
Don’t have a super duper SLR? They’ll throw in $2000AUD worth of Pentax gear to help you take the best photos. If that’s not enough, your best photos will appear on the National Geographic Channel’s website.
Make sure you clear your calendar for December 5th- 12th because if you win you’ll be photographing rare and endagered wildlife between these dates with the lovely Jason himself.
If you have a flare for photography and you’re over 18, then send in a series of photos (maximum 5) that tell a story about a place you have visited.
Add your photos to worldnomads.com. Firstly create a journal, which is where your photos will be hosted, and fill in the entry form. Upload your photos either as a Flikr set or directly in the journal. Tell World Nomads in 300 words or less about your photos and why you should be chosen.
The judges will be looking for great technique, originality and the ability to convey your story through photos. Entries close on October 17th so you’ve got just 2 weeks left!
