Saying goodbye to Steve: and recruiting a new Vantastic Partner
Steve is leaving…
It was announced last month that Steve and I had won the Vantastic Adventures competition to go to South Australia and film our adventures and we were really excited about going. If you remember my entry video you’ll know that Steve was my crazy American boyfriend in the photo that I carried around. It saddens me to say that Steve is not coming on the road trip and he will be missed so very much on the road. I know he would have been the prefect candidate and we would have made some great video together. Steve is a talented photographer, web designer and writer. Here’s just a little snippet of our times in Bali…
Steve and I had some amazing times here in Indonesia and it’ll be the end of an era. But relationships can be unpredictable and today Steve embarked from Bali on an adventure to Morocco, where he’ll be working in web design for a surf camp. I wish him the best of luck, Vantastic won’t be the same without him.
So…Meet Trent
After a frantic search to find someone with 6 weeks to spare to go gallivanting around Australia, and believe me it’s not easy, Trent is filling in for Steve at the last minute. He’s an Ozzie from Sydney and will be the first person from Australia on the trip! Trent and I know each other from the booze fuelled backpacker town of Lagos, Portugal and he’ll be accompanying me on the road trip! So I want to thank Trent and Vantastic for making the whole thing still possible for me and allowing me to bring great video to you guys.
What you can expect!
We won the South Australia leg, so see us in Melbourne on 3rd February! We’ll be diving in a steel cage with great white sharks, swimming with tuna and sea lions, hiking round Kangaroo island, living it up at Adelaide Fringe Festival, getting a little tipsy on Barossa wine, mining for opals and exploring the outback. We’re going to live on the edge and you can be a fly on the wall for 6 weeks! We want to show you the uncensored real side of travelling, the fun we have, the people we meet, and the crazy stuff that happens along the way.
