Blogsherpa is now active!
Pommie Travels is now a member of the Blog Sherpa programme with Lonely Planet!
The idea behind Blog Sherpa is simple- once you are a member of the programme you can tag one of your blog posts or articles with ‘blog sherpa’. Lonely Planet will display your post on their site with your google ads using your publisher id next to the post. So you make money out of google ad views and clicks next to your post and you get increased traffic to your site as they encourage people to click through and interact with you, the blogger. They get the benefit of expanding their content so its a win situation for all.

Signing up for Blog Sherpa is really simple:
- Sign up for a Lonely Planet profile so that you can participate in the forums and take part in the Lonely Planet Community or Log In if you already have one.
- Once you’re signed in, select ‘My Profile’ from the drop down list under your username.
- On the left hand side click on ‘My Travel Blog’
- Register your travel blog and wait to be accepted for the Blog Sherpa programme!
